Description
How can educators, librarians, and parents nurture a deep love of reading and learning? One approach is to include a strategy during reading time that creates prior knowledge about story content. In this way, children will have more opportunities to make connections between their own knowledge and the story narrative. In this workshop, participants will develop an arts-based, multi-sensory strategy for young children designed to create prior knowledge about a key idea and supporting details in a story.
