This family engagement workshop will provide a space for families to have fun through singing and dancing together while connecting to the wider community. Students and family members will sing some call and response songs with movement and get to know some neighbors in the room by asking some simple questions, learning how to start conversations. We’ll practice different rhythmic patterns using clapping, stomping, etc. Then we’ll do some circle dances that are from the United States, Israel, Latin America, and Ghana. This dancing will create a joyful atmosphere in community.
