Assemblies + Workshops

From classical ballet to African drumming, our interactive assemblies inspire and educate students by introducing them to diverse art forms and cultures. Workshops build upon assembly performances by giving students the opportunity to experience an art form during an additional hands-on session with the artist.

Artist-in-Residence Programs

Artist-in-residence programs engage students in creative, hands-on experiences through a series of in-depth classroom visits from teaching artists who work alongside educators and students. Many residencies are arts-integrated, connecting skills and concepts in the arts with those in math, literacy, science, and more—like exploring math and music by writing poetry with algebra terms or handcrafting a mural depicting your local ecosystem.

These workshops help educators harness the power of arts to engage students of all grade levels and abilities in academic subject areas and address College and Career-Ready Standards.

“This residency was much more than the creation of a beautiful piece of art. Students were engaged in learning and translated that learning into art.”
