A 90-minute experiential PD session for educators of K to 8 learners. Each educator builds their own Crankie Contraption, then unpacks the engineering design process, the storytelling arc (sequence vs narrative, character / setting / plot / conflict / resolution), and a coaching playbook for hands-on STEAM facilitation that integrates ELA. Educators leave with a class pack (25) of Crankie Contraptions for their own classroom, the Crankies slide deck, a Quick Start Guide, three reusable iteration prompts, and a clear plan for running their first session.
