Experience the energy and excitement of Japanese taiko drumming in this interactive workshop designed for children and their families. Participants will explore simple taiko rhythms, discover how rhythm can be used to communicate and express emotion, and experience the coordination and teamwork needed to create music together. Families will also learn a traditional Bon Dance accompanied by the rhythms they have practiced. Through drumming, movement, and shared music-making, children and their caregivers will connect with Japanese festival traditions while strengthening listening, cooperation, coordination, and a joyful sense of community.
