The Rhino Remix: A Hands-On Song Game for All Ages

Get ready for a wild, musical adventure with The Rhino Remix! Musician Alden Phelps kicks things off by singing his silly children’s song Ted the Rhino, about a rhino who causes chaos wherever he goes. Then the real fun begins: together, children and adults break down the opening lyrics, mix up words, and invent brand-new lines using magnetic words onstage. Once everyone sees how it works, each participant gets their own board to create, share, and perform their own wacky lyrics. Laughter, creativity, and instant songs are guaranteed — no experience required!

Technical Requirements

10’ x 10’ clear area for the artist, and enough room for students to sit at magnet boards, either on the floor or at desks. The easels are about the same footprint as a school desk, so groups of desks are best.
Access to performance area (classroom size) 20 min before set up. For larger groups, a sound system may be used, then 60 min. setup.
The artist will provide a sound system for audiences of over 50 people or for large rooms/gyms
The artist will need a power outlet to plug in the sound system
