Musical Carnival Ride!

Interactive Workshop

Carnival Barker, Mr. Alden uses funky musical rhythms to challenge students to keep the beat and move their bodies in different ways to represent carnival rides. We’ll use our imaginations to envision the movement of roller coasters, ferris wheels, and other rides. Then we’ll perform them together in sequence to the beat. This activity will challenge children to think creatively, memorize sequences, and move their bodies. Adults will practice collaborating and supporting their children in their creativity.

Technical Requirements

10’ x 10’ clear area
Access to performance area 1 hour before set up
The artist will provide a sound system for audiences of over 50 people or for large rooms/gyms
The artist will need a power outlet to plug in the sound system
The room needs to have blinds or the ability to block the light at least partially
The artist will be in communication about additional technical requirements specific to the program
