Inspire your teaching with hands-on arts strategies! Arts for Learning PD workshops equip educators with creative, practical tools to support learning in literacy, math, science, and SEL. Many sessions meet the MSDE Core of Knowledge (COK) requirements. Please check with your A4L program coordinator if you need a COK-approved workshop.
Professional Development Programs
Early Childhood PD Workshops
Hands-on workshops that help early childhood educators weave arts-integrated learning into everyday routines and curriculum. Explore storytelling, movement, music, and dramatic play as tools for literacy, early math, and social-emotional growth.
Led by Wolf Trap–trained early childhood teaching artists, each session models joyful, developmentally appropriate strategies you can use immediately with infants through Pre-K classrooms.
K-12 PD Workshops
Interactive professional learning that helps educators integrate the arts across subjects and grade levels. Work alongside professional teaching artists to explore creative strategies that strengthen academic connections, support diverse learners, and deepen student engagement.
Each workshop offers standards-aligned, ready-to-use approaches that bring creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking into everyday instruction.
Arts for Learning Days
This evidence-based, embedded professional learning model helps educators integrate the arts into daily instruction to support academic achievement and student engagement.
Teaching artists co-plan and co-teach alongside classroom teachers, modeling strategies that can be used immediately and sustained over time. Sessions are grounded in curriculum goals and designed to strengthen instructional practice, collaboration, and creative learning across the school community.
