Students and families will learn about Irish Culture, Music, and Dance through performance and participation. Students will learn about Irish Culture/History in an exciting and entertaining way as Footworks Percussive Dance ensemble performs Irish dance with live music and lots of audience participation fostering respect for others, empathy, appreciation for diverse traditions, and how to cultivate joy amidst difficulty. Following the performance students and families will participate in a community dance fostering cooperation and connection and experiencing this joy for themselves. The evening will end with families sharing their heritage and learning ways to create their own moments of joy through music and dance.
