Get Involved
There are many ways you can help:
from volunteering your time or becoming an event host to participating in a committee or working with us to bring the arts to your school and community.
Meet Arts for Learning
Learn more about our mission, methods, and future plans during a Meet Arts for Learning event.
The single most important way you can volunteer to help Arts for Learning is by introducing people to the organization and to our mission by hosting a Meet Arts for Learning event.
Become a Roster Artist
We are always looking to partner with dynamic artists who are passionate and experienced in sharing their art forms with students.
We are currently looking for Teaching Artists with a focus in dance, puppetry, and/or storytelling to join our Early Childhood Teaching Artist Roster!

Gifts that make an impact now
The quickest way to give. Make a difference today through a cash donation.
Become a sustainer today to help provide programs and opportunities that create lasting change in the lives of students, teachers, artists, schools, and communities.
Gifts that reduce your taxes
Transferring appreciated stock from your account to Arts for Learning Maryland can reduce your capital gains tax and provide greater tax benefits.
Transfer funds from your IRA directly to Arts for Learning Maryland.
A donor-advised fund is a philanthropic giving vehicle like a charitable savings account that provides an immediate tax benefit to you.
Gifts that cost you nothing
For many donors, the best way to make a planned gift to Arts for Learning is through a bequest or other testamentary provision.
We’ll be celebrating at Arts for Learning Maryland's (formerly Young Audiences of Maryland) new office at 21 E. North Avenue. It’s ½ block east of Charles Street in the Station North neighborhood. The building is most recognized (until we move in!) as the former Odell’s nightclub.
Our current plan* is to provide complimentary parking at the surface parking lot at the northeast corner of Charles Street and North Avenue. This lot is ½ block from the event. The entrance to the lot is on Charles Street, directly north of North Avenue. Parking attendants will remain in the lot during the entire party and will provide directions to the party.
*Should we need to make any changes to the complimentary parking location, we will send an email to all confirmed guests to let them know about the change.
Individuals are welcome to bring a guest to the party. Please provide your guest’s name with your RSVP.
To ensure the health and security of our guests, staff, artists and vendors, and in consultation with public health officials, we are requiring all guests to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR certification of a negative COVID-test taken within 72 hours of the event. Guests without this documentation will not be able to attend the celebration.
Masks are required upon entering the event but may be removed in when actively eating or drinking or when on our deck.
We are limiting the number of attendees to 100 to provide space for distancing during the artist experiences.
Following the reception that begins at 7, there will be a brief ceremonial opening of the new office at 7:45. Following the program, you will experience the joy and impact of our Teaching Artists for an hour, followed by a dessert reception.
Be comfortable! We’re not fancy or formal. And be warm! Part of this event will be on our deck.
The reception is fully accessible with direct access from North Avenue. The artist experiences will be on two floors; unfortunately, the elevator in the building will not be operational in time for the party. Second-floor spaces are accessible by two stairways.
You can enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and a full bar during the 7:00 reception, and desserts following the artist experiences. Because of space limitations, we are unable to offer individual items for special diets; we will offer vegetarian and vegan items.
