Introducing Chinese Calligraphy
Hua Hua Zhang
Chinese Calligraphy is a beautiful art that occupies a distinguished position in the field of traditional Chinese Arts. Chinese Calligraphy is a means of communication and expresses a person’s artistic identity. In the workshop Introducing Chinese Calligraphy, students will learn to write simple words in Chinese ideographs and to use traditional brushes. For extended workshops, students can also learn to make a Chinese scroll or draw a Chinese fan to mount their artwork.
Typically, residencies range from $2,500 and up, but we can use your available budget and ‘work backwards’ to create a cost-effective residency for your school. We may be able to assist you in securing grant and funding opportunities.

- A set of workshops for classes of up to 25 students each
- A student culminating or sharing event
- An evaluation meeting
