Arts for Learning invites you to celebrate Month of the Young Child with us by booking one of our new interactive workshops and assemblies, designed for our youngest learners ages birth to six.

Celebrate Month of the Young Child with new interactive workshops and assemblies designed for our youngest learners, birth to six. Explore topics like language, science, math, and social-emotional learning through dance, theater, and music in over 20 new artist-led programs available in person, virtually, or on-demand.

Our dynamic teaching artists will deliver their brand new programs to schools and centers across Maryland this April to bring learning alive for children, educators, and families.

    Early Childhood Assemblies

    Interactive and educational assembly performances for young learners.

    Inspire and motivate your students with a live, interactive, and educational arts assembly performance with an A4L teaching artist or ensemble. Artists will create magical, interactive performances that use the arts to explore a range of early childhood content areas.

    Early Childhood Interactive Workshops

    Engaging arts workshops for children, caregivers, and educators.

    Children and adults will find inspiration in Early Childhood Interactive Workshops where music, dance, and theatre artists engage participants in hands-on creativity to support the learning of any topic.

    On-Demand Interactive Workshop with Alden Phelps

    Want to access a virtual artist program anytime during Month of the Young Child in April?

    Early childhood teaching artist Alden Phelps will offer unlimited streaming access to his interactive workshop, "Singin’ Sunshine," during April. From April 1-30, 2024, you will receive on-demand access, along with an educator/family guide containing activity summaries, song lyrics, and post-workshop extension activities.

    Financial Assistance for Schools and Centers

    Thanks to our generous funders, we are able to provide financial assistance to a limited number of schools and centers, covering up to 100% of the cost of programming scheduled in April. Applications for financial assistance will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Apply early.
