Delia Zielinski is a vocalist, actor, and fine artist. As a performer, she has appeared in regional and local operas, musical theatre, plays, church services, recitals, and even a jazz festival. In 2013 she recorded a solo album as “Delia Zielinska” entitled Boston Two featuring classical art songs. She is a graduate of the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory, and in addition to her B.A. from Trinity University, she is a certified Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method voice teacher through Baldwin Wallace University. She has taught private voice lessons since 2009. 

Delia is also a passionate arts advocate. As a teaching artist with ArtStream (2013-2022), she led classes in schools and with partner organizations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), using music and drama to strengthen independence, creative thinking, and self-advocacy. From 2014 – 2017, Delia served as Assistant Minister of Music at Grace Episcopal Church, where she directed the children’s choir and assisted the music program. Since 2019 Delia has led creative after-school programs for a local elementary school. She is also a music volunteer with Hospice of Washington County, where she brings her music directly to patients. 

Delia is based in Hagerstown, Maryland.

One of the most important lessons I have learned about teaching is from Mr. Rogers (of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood). He spoke about validating children, and I have never forgotten that. Whether working with children or adults, I think validating an individual is essential. Acknowledging their abilities, their potential, their choices, their personality, their quirks and their humor–it carries a lot of weight. You can do anything in a classroom or rehearsal room if you start from a place of respecting and dignifying each student or participant. The other equally important thing I bring into teaching is humor. Humor and laughter are like oxygen to me!
