Math & Music: Pattern Recognition in Action

Explore how music and math are a perfect pairing in early childhood development spaces — experience kinesthetic steady beat, pitch, and numeracy that fosters self-awareness, breath, and grounding.

We will move, sing, chant, create steady beats, and practice locomotor and non-locomotor movements. Engage in practical discussions to apply strategies to your classroom community. This workshop will equip you with valuable tools and insights for bringing joy and expression into your math activities.

Audience Limit 50 Educators

Program Length Under 2 hours or over 2 hours

Technical Requirements

10’ x 10’ clear area
Access to performance area 1 hour before set up
The artist will provide a sound system for audiences of over 50 people or for large rooms/gyms
The artist will need a power outlet to plug in the sound system
The room needs to have blinds or the ability to block the light at least partially
The artist will be in communication about additional technical requirements specific to the program
