Description

Led by Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist, Laura Schandelmeier, this workshop guides participants through the intricacies of the Elements of Dance. For PreK/K educators, this fundamental expertise serves as a gateway to instructing vital self-regulation techniques, fostering one-to-one correspondence comprehension, unraveling the art of decoding, and more.

Throughout the course of this workshop, participants will learn the art of orchestrating a harmonious blend of movement and learning within their classrooms, ensuring a dynamic and effective educational experience.

Audience Limit 50 Educators

Technical Requirements

10’ x 10’ clear area
Access to performance area 1 hour before set up
The artist will provide a sound system for audiences of over 50 people or for large rooms/gyms
The artist will need a power outlet to plug in the sound system
The room needs to have blinds or the ability to block the light at least partially
The artist will be in communication about additional technical requirements specific to the program
