Kevin Alan Brown
Program Type
Theme-based Residency
Students will get to know an adventurous young boy named Jabari, who is totally not afraid to jump off the high dive at the pool. Well, maybe he is a little afraid. During our time together, students will use homemade shadow puppets to explore positional words, letter recognition, subtraction, the science of shadows, and how to persevere in the face of fear. Mr. Kevin will lead the students through acting exercises and the students will help tell the story of Jabari Jumps by Gaia Cornwall.

About Theme-based Residencies
Theme-based residencies are a series of five student-centered workshops focused on creating engaging, interactive arts-focused or arts-integrated experiences for children in PreK and Kindergarten. Each residency starts with either a “kickoff” assembly or an interactive workshop and culminates in an event where children share what they learned. Pricing starts at $2,300 + mileage. We may be able to assist you in securing grant and funding opportunities.
