Each class of 26 students is co-taught by a certified teacher and teaching artist together, and we maintain a ratio of at least 13 students for every one adult. Teachers and artists work together to present both academic and arts learning. Each school will also have two full-time directors on site, an office manager, and two dedicated student support staff. Additional staff includes Playworks coaches, artist apprentices who support afternoon instruction, and enrichment partners. Some sites may have additional staff supporting students in the ESY (Extended School Year) program, or staff from partner programs like Reading Partners.
