Description

Literacy Through Photography (LTP) is an interactive concept that combines photography and literacy, empowering students to explore and capture their experiences visually, inspiring them to narrate their stories through their own words and ideas. This professional development program immerses teachers, administrators, and educators as LTP learners, engaging them in the process to inspire ideas and connections to bring back to their classrooms and student communities.

Program Length

2.5 hours

Technical Requirements

Larger classroom spaces with tables for "center style" learning is optimal.
It is also helpful to have a project or SMART board monitor.
The artist supplies cameras and it's useful for the attendees to have their phones available, as we use them to show how this process can be adaptable and accessible.
It's also helpful for the attendees to bring their work laptops so that we can easily download images if they do opt for using the cameras that the artist brings.
